I have met a few guys on the internet but is this really a good way. We have met in person and have had good times together even though the relationships did not work out. I have a hard time meeting guys because I do not have much of a social person alone. I am 37 years old and most of my friends are married. Some say that Church is a good source but I live in a small community but work in the city during the week. What is the best way to meet gentlemen? Has anyone done Christian Singles before?

Online is as safe/dangerous as any other community. The difference is that you are not introduced by a friend who knows them.

I met my wife on line, and we have been together for 7 years now. However there are some guidelines when dating online.

1. Always meet in a public/neutral place
2. Even if you are ok with intimacy on the first date, get to know this person, and people they know very well first. This is a safety thing, not a prudish thing.
3. Always figure out why they are looking online as well. In your case, you are shy. But there may be something wrong with the person you find online, which is why they are there.
4. Google, Google, Google. Always do background checks.
